Yes...I was not a happy camper. Although I shouldn't have been surprised; I am a huge Serenity fan and Joss Whedon proved there that he has no problem killing major characters and leaving others in emotional torment.
Oh, I agree that the story arc over the season was very well done and beautiful. I would watch it again! (once I forgot how upset it made me) Doesn't mean I didn't bawl my eyes out at the end. I haven't been dissuaded though, I am well into Season 3 now; much funnier than the first two seasons. Well, as well as being dark ;D

I thought it was a beautiful story arc...very romeo and juliet-esque. at any rate, seasons 3 and 5 are the next best, so I recommend watching them!

isnt buffy great? i got the buffy series box as an xmas gift and just started season 7 last night, im going to cry when its all over :'(
